At a time when Post Graduation was limited only to students of their respective university, CPS was the only institution which opened its arms to students of all the universities in Maharashtra. One such privileged student was myself. While doing my Diploma and Fellowship in Ophthalmology, I got an opportunity to work with stalwarts in the field of ophthalmology. I am short of words to express my gratitude to my Alma Mater. CPS gave me an opportunity to pursue PG in Ophthalmology. I express gratitude towards my teachers who trained me in the field of Ophthalmology.

After about 12-15 yrs of successful practice in Ophthalmology, I got elected as a Council Member of this esteemed Institution, it was a proud moment for me. Also I am overwhelmed to be elected as the President of this renowned Institution. Though one of the oldest institutions for PG Medical Courses, CPS has always upgraded itself for the benefit of its students and moved with modern times. I am happy to mention that it was in my tenure as Council Member that CPS has leaped not only at the National level, but also abroad. CPS has now collaborated with international institutes like BAPIO, which will give opportunity to its students to get enrolled for further studies in England after completion of CPS PG Courses. In its efforts for upgradation, CPS has started a state-of-Art Simulation Lab which is open for all those aspiring. As the Head of the Institution my aim is to serve my Alma Mater and take CPS to new heights and break all boundaries.
